11 Hospital Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Drill

Prepares and tests multidisciplinary hospital personnel at as many as 20 hospitals in Wichita and South Central Kansas to manage a surge created by mass casualty simulated victims. Health profession students are invited to participate as simulated disaster victims.

Phase I

A briefing and orientation will be conducted for individuals playing the role of victims on October 17 at KU School of Medicine, Wichita campus, 1010 N. Kansas, Wichita, Kan. Participants will be notified of the time to report for briefing in their confirmation letters.

Phase II

Deployment to collapse sites will start on the morning of October 19 and finish before noon, October 21.

Participation is limited. There is no fee to register. Participants must complete and submit the registration form.

Volunteers must complete the registration form and sign the release statement on the registration page of this brochure. Volunteers operating within a collapse zone used during the mass casualty simulation assume all risk of injury.
