9 Public Health Track
Prepares public health providers to implement of national, state, and local expectations and directives, public health’s role in the command center, interjurisdictional coordination and communication, surveillance and epidemiological issues, and other topics. This 1.5-day session will include a panel discussion.
Phase I
Identical classroom instruction will be offered at two locations.
Pratt (exact location to follow in confirmation information)
October 15 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
October 16, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Wichita at KU School of Medicine (1010 N. Kansas):
October 17, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
October 18, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Accreditation. This activity has been approved for up to 12 hours CNE credit. (Please see Accreditation.) Specific objectives and timed agendas will follow in confirmation letters to participants.
Phase II
Participants have the option of taking a VIP tour of the collapse sites. This activity will start on the morning of October 19 and continue to the morning of October 21. Participants will be advised of tour details on the day of classroom instruction of Phase I.
The epidemiological module of this track will continue through October 24 and is a multi-county/agency drill. Participants will be able to engage in this activity from their departments through long distance methodologies.
Participation is limited. There is no fee to register. Participants must complete and submit the registration form.
